Q1 What is SBBS Online ?

SBBS Online is a trading tool that allows you to buy or sell shares quoted in Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (BMSB), view real time stock trading information, view latest news and happenings in the stock market and also your account information.

Q2 What do I need to use SBBS Online ?
You would require a computer with an Internet connection.
Q3 Which Internet Service Provider (ISP) should I get connected with ?
SBBS Online can be accesed from any ISP.

Which type of connection do I need to connect to SBBS Online ?

You can connect from any type of Internet connection. Be it dial-up, ISDN or ADSL.
Q5 Which Internet browser that SBBS Online supports ?
At the moment, we would only recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer. Support for other browsers may be implemented in the future.
Q6 Do I need third party software or plug-in to run SBBS Online ?
You are required to install a copy of Microsoft Virtual Machine and a Chinese language pack available in your operating system installation CD should you need to view certain web site content in Chinese.
Q7 If I do not have Java Runtime Environment, where I can get a copy for installation ?
You may download a copy of the runtime from our web site under the "Home" page.
Q8 Is the connection to SBBS Online secured ?
All connection will be have a 128 bit SSL encryption. Moreover, all clients are required a login with a PIN which employs DES based encryption before trading is allowed.
Q9 How do I open an account for SBBS Online ?
1 Connect to www.sbbsec.com.my
2 Click on 'Sign-Up'
3 Provide particulars of yourself as required
4 SBB Securities will sent you the necessary application forms via post
5 You are required to fill in all application forms and be present in our Company.
6 Once approved your login password and trading PIN will be e-mail to you
7 You can now start trading
Q10 Will I still receive contract notes for trades done ?
Yes, you will still receive contract notes for all trades done.

How do I know whether my orders are matched ?

You will be able to view the up-to-date status of your order from the 'Order Status' window in the system.

What happen if I suspect my order is not refecting the latest status ?

We would advise you to call your Dealer or Remisier.
Q13

Can I view the status of orders placed through other channel, eg. Telephone ?

Yes, you can.
Q14 Who can I contact should I have any further inquiry ?

Q15 Can I route my orders via Dealer/Remisier using the telephone when SBBS Online is down ?
Yes, you can.
